The most efficient and effective way to come to terms with the purpose and value of business continuity planning, particularly for those who are relatively new to the concepts, is to experience the scenario simulation and discussion that we present within our senior executive workshop of up to one day's duration (The exact duration of the workshop depends on the availability of your Senior Management Team and usually is between 2 and 6 hours).

Our approach is to use a simple but realistic scenario as a tool to help your team come to terms with the issues and problems that arise in the event of a disaster. By a simple process of analysis and discussion, and drawing upon our experiences with many other businesses throughout the world, we lead the team through the fragility of assumptions and expectations that are commonly held by many corporations - and often held out as reasons not to invest in BCP. In so doing we increase the participants' awareness of the purpose and long-term value of business continuity planning in the context of your own organization.
