PROFILE:Our Financial Team has an excellent record of managing and implementing change in both small and multinational organisations.
Particular expertise in trouble shooting (often as Interim Managers) and in the computerisation of Financial and Management Information Systems, but also major compliance exercises (FSA, Sarbanes Oxley).
The wide skill base also includes experience in (international) mergers and acquisitions and in the role of Company Secretary and Financial Director.
Among our Finance Consultants we have AAT qualified and Chartered Accountants.

Philosophy:Many accountants immediately turn to terminology that few ordinary people can follow. Don't expect that from us! We will be very practical in our approach and, due to extensive Auditing experience, aim to get up to date with your financial requirements as soon as possible. In troubleshooting scenarios we will hit the ground running, applying immediate practical activities to alleviate your situation.
We can however use Accounting terminology where required, as for instance when we were able to use detailed Financial analysis to convince a multinational to sell a subsidiary rather than close it down, a profit to them and 250+ jobs saved.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Successfully implemented pan-European efficiencies programme for global multinational. savings of approx. 25M Euros (in first 12 months) over 8 sites, without any redundancies; Interim Financial Director in financial services company, ensuring compliance with FSA directives and introducing radical strategic course changes to ensure future prosperity of the company; Setting up of computerised administration and accounts systems for the German subsidiary of a UK holding company; Included locating and incorporating 12 months previous trading data and the recruitment and training of German staff; Sale of (different) German subsidiary of UK parent company to US owned German company; Successful crisis management of serious financial problems, keeping company afloat (and legal) despite the withdrawal of a major (7 figure) overdraft facility; Successfully completed the administrative integration of acquired companies; Reorganised procedures and documentation in view of TQM initiative, allowing subsequent qualification for BS5750; Substantially improved cashflow by improving credit control system; Designed, developed and implemented a computerised Sales data, quotation and order processing system. Provision of computerised project management information system. Set up a new vehicle Fleet programme, incorporating a Sale and Lease back arrangement on existing fleet; Support and selection of software and implementation leading to full computerisation of accounts and financial analyses; We also offer a range of practical professional services including:
preparation of detailed and technical business plans; preparation of budgets, cashflow forecasts, manuals and ad-hoc reports; financial modelling; independent advice on choice and suitability of Financial software (and we will assist if required with the set-up, configuration of this software and the transfer of existing data!); Full computerisation of accounts and financial analyses; customisation of software; creation of templates, add-ins and standard reports; integration of information between software packages; advice on the financial implications of getting connected on the Internet (assessment of benefits and costs through our sister company Herne Studios: web page design and internet training); creation of Microsoft PowerPoint computer and slide presentations.
